Professional Bio
Graduated in Medicine with honours at University of Melbourne, trained in Radiology and completed a fellowship in MRI at Monash Medical Centre Prof. Naidoo has worked as a diagnostic and interventional Radiologist and was Director of Radiology at Dandenong Hospital (Monash Health) for 17 years, during which time he was also Head of undergraduate and Postgraduate Education at Monash Health and Monash University. He previously simultaneously also held positions of Associate Professor at both Monash University and the University of Melbourne prior to being appointed Clinical Professor and Director of Radiology at the Royal Hobart Hospital in 2018. Prof Naidoo has many subspecialty interests and has worked closely with numerous clinical groups including General and Colorectal surgery, Vascular surgery, Plastic /sarcoma surgery, Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Respiratory Medicine, Gastroenterology and Diabetology (including the high- risk diabetic foot) -convening clinical meetings in most of these areas. He is an experienced Interventional Radiologist with a subspecialty interest in lower limb re-vascularization especially in the setting of diabetes. He is a passionate educator and has been a senior examiner for the College of Radiologists fellowship exams (Abdominal and Neuroradiology) and is the creator and convenor of the national/international Radiodiagnosis Review Course, as well as the Inspire series of Chest Radiology courses. Prof. Naidoo has published extensively and been an invited speaker at numerous meetings nationally and internationally.
