Guidelines for Presenters 


Please use the information on this page when preparing your verbal or ePoster presentation for the ANZSVS Conference 2025.
 
IMPORTANT: It is expected that all accepted verbal  and moderated ePoster abstract presentations for the ANZSVS Conference 2025 are conducted live and in person.

Presentations Terms & Conditions
All presenters must read and adhere to the presentation terms and conditions.
Presentation/ePoster Upload

Presentation (Verbal and ePoster) Upload Deadline: Sunday 28 September 2025

Invited, verbal abstract and e-poster presenters can upload their presentations/ePosters via the button on the right. Alternatively, an upload link is included in your acceptance/confirmation email.  
 
Please note: If you have uploaded your presentation and require amendments, please re-upload your amended presentation. Presentations are processed manually, please finalise your presentation prior to uploading. Re-uploads should only be actioned if absolutely necessary.

It is recommended verbal presenters, report to the Speaker Support Centre to complete final checks of their uploaded presentation prior to their session time.

Verbal and Invited Presentations

IMPORTANT: 
  • It is expected that all accepted verbal abstract presentations for the ANZSVS 2025 are conducted live and in person.
  •  It is MANDATORY that all presenters be registered for the ANZSVS Conference 2025. Verbal abstract presenters who have failed to complete their registration by Sunday 21 September 2025 will be removed from the program. 

IMPORTANT: The default screen format is 16:9 (however, 4:3 presentations will not be compromised)
 
The default aspect ratio for slides is 16:9 (wide screen) which aligns with the standard template on the latest version of PowerPoint (Office 365 for Windows, Office 2016 for Mac). However, please note that the older 4:3 (non-wide screen) format will be supported and your presentation will not be compromised in size or resolution if you choose to stay with this format

An ANZSVS Conference themed PowerPoint template is available for download.
*This template is not compulsory.

You may upload your PowerPoint presentation using the upload button above (or via the link accessible in your presentation confirmation/acceptance email) or at the Speakers' Support Centre onsite.
 
Uploading Onsite: it is mandatory that you check into the Speakers’ Support Centre at least 2 hours prior to your session starting to ensure all audiovisual checks are completed.

We recommend checking into to the Speakers' Support Centre onsite to ensure all audiovisual checks are completed. 

Presentations will not be available in lecture theatres unless they have been checked in at the Speaker Support Centre.

ePoster and Moderated Presentations

IMPORTANT: An ePoster PowerPoint template is available for download and MUST be used when creating your ePoster.

Unless you have been advised that you have received a Moderated ePoster Presentation, there is NO verbal component applicable to ePoster presentations.

There are essential guidelines for ePosters.

An ePoster PowerPoint template can be downloaded from the button to the right. and this MUST be used when creating your ePoster.
 
The ePoster template is a custom size and ePosters of different dimensions may be skewed/stretched/truncated when displayed on the monitors at the Conference.

IMPORTANT
1. Template: ePosters MUST be created using the template provided.
2. Guidelines: Ensure you follow the ePoster Guidelines when creating your ePoster.
3. Registration: You MUST be registered to attend the ANZSVS Conference 2025 to have your ePoster displayed and receive a certificate of presentation.
4. Conflict of Interest: Please note that it is an ANZSVS requirement that any conflict of interest related to your ePoster is disclosed on the slide. You are also reminded that the ANZSVS adopts the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons policy on "Bullying, Discrimination and Harassment" and the emphasis of respect. These principles should be considered when preparing and delivering presentations at the Conference.
