Background: Upper limb DVTs including Paget Schroeter’s often effects young people and if untreated can result in significant lifestyle limiting long-term symptoms such as claudication and arm swelling. Conventional management includes anticoagulation, catheter directed thrombolysis and rib resection. The use of INARI ClotTriever System while validated in lower limb extremity DVT clearance has limited evidence for UL DVT clearance. Aim: Assess the validity of the use of INARI ClotTriever System in management of upper limb DVT Methods: Retrospective single centre review of patients who underwent INARI ClotRetriever for brachiocephalic, subclavian or axillary vein deep vein thrombus from the 1st of January 2023 to 30th June 2025. The primary outcome was clearance of Upper limb DVT, secondary outcomes included resolution of symptoms, patient demographics, chronicity of thrombus, adjunctive interventions and complications. Results: All patients in the study had either an acute (83%) or chronic (17%) upper limb DVT occurring in the axillosubclavian (50%) or subclavian (50%) vein. The mean age for patients were 31 years old, and patients were primarily female (67%). Immediately post INARI ClotRetriever use, all patients achieved technical success over a mean procedure time of 63 minutes, and were discharged day one postoperatively. Adjunct procedures included balloon angioplasty (100%) and a self-expanding stent (67%). All patients were discharged on anticoagulation. All patients experienced resolution of symptoms despite one patient having reocclusion on post operative venous duplex ultrasound. Conclusion: INARI ClotTriever for upper limb extremity deep venous thrombus is beneficial in rapid single session clearance without the need for an ICU admission or thrombolysis and reduces patient stay in hospital.
